Abstract:
The article considers in detail the issue of export potential of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine based on the analysis of export indicators of such crops as wheat, corn and soybeans over the past five years. The study is based on quantitative methods, in particular statistical and economic analysis, which made it possible to determine the dynamics of the gross harvest of these crops and changes in the volume of their exports. Within the framework of the present study, the authors systematized the existing approaches to determining the essence of the export potential of the enterprise, which made it possible to form a comprehensive interpretation of this concept. The article offers its own definition of export potential, which takes into account the specifics of the agro-industrial sector and modern challenges for enterprises. It is substantiated that the development of the export potential of enterprises directly depends on the action of a number of both internal and external factors. In addition, a significant role is played by the adaptation of enterprises to new challenges in the global market and the ability to innovate in production processes. In the course of the study, a number of factors that affect the export potential of agricultural enterprises are analyzed. In particular, both internal (resource potential, technologies, financial capabilities) and external factors (competition in international markets, demand, State regulation) are considered. Special attention is paid to the structure of sales markets, which made it possible to identify key changes in the behavior of export indicators under the influence of market conditions. On the basis of the data obtained, conclusions are drawn about the efficiency of export activities of enterprises and the possibilities of its optimization to increase competitiveness at the global level. The results of the study can be useful for practical use by the managers of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine. Optimization of export activities based on the transition from raw materials to deep processing of products for export will contribute to the development of added value and sustainable economic development of the agro-industrial sector.
