Abstract: The article considers the relevance of the development of bicycle infrastructure as an important component of transport and tourist infrastructure in the post-war period. Bicycle travel is becoming more and more popular in the world, necessitating the creation and modernization of bicycle paths, parking and bicycle maintenance, as well as information and logistical support. The development of cycling infrastructure contributes to increasing economic efficiency by attracting tourists, increasing employment and investing in the tourism and recreational sector. Also, cycling has environmental benefits, reducing harmful emissions and noise, and has a positive effect on public health by encouraging physical activity in the open air. Bicycles increase the mobility and inclusivity of urban and suburban spaces, ensuring accessibility for different age groups and people with disabilities. The development of cycling infrastructure increases road safety, because separate bicycle paths, bike lanes, special traffic lights and signs minimize the risk of collisions with vehicles. Sustainable urban solutions thanks to bicycle transport make cities more comfortable for residents and tourists, reducing the burden on the transport system. The article highlights the main problems that will arise in the process of building a bicycle network: insufficient development of bicycle paths, lack of safe parking spaces, inconsistency of transport infrastructure with the needs of cyclists, lack of information for potential cyclists, difficulty of traveling with one’s own bicycle and lack of cyclist-friendly hotels and service stations. A number of recommendations have been proposed to overcome the above mentioned problems, including the development of bicycle paths of all types of surface, the creation of recreation areas, informing tourists, the modernization of the public transport system taking into account the transportation of bicycles, as well as the organization of safe parking spaces and inclusive accommodation facilities. It is substantiated that an integrated approach to the formation of cycling infrastructure will contribute to the sustainable development of tourism and economy, improve the ecological situation and quality of life of the population, as well as increase the attractiveness of the country for both domestic and international tourists.
