Abstract:
The article examines the role of compliance management in ensuring the economic security of enterprises in the modern context of globalization, increasing regulatory requirements, and permanent instability. The article emphasizes the critical importance of managing compliance risks, particularly anti-corruption, financial, and reputation risks, which pose a significant threat to the stability and development of business. An analysis of the conceptual foundations of compliance as a component of corporate governance is conducted, which includes adherence to legislative norms, ethical standards, and internal policies of the organization. The article highlights the integration of compliance into the overall management system of the enterprise, which encompasses internal audit procedures, risk monitoring, enhancement of corporate culture, and the implementation of standards such as ISO 37301, ISO 31000, GDPR, etc. It is substantiated that the adaptation of compliance systems to the scale and specifics of the enterprise’s activities contributes to the efficient identification of threats, minimization of risks, and enhancement of competitiveness. The authors note that the compliance management system performs an important function in ensuring the transparency of business processes, adherence to ethical standards, and reduction of losses due to non-compliance with regulatory requirements. Special attention is paid to the interconnection between economic security and compliance, which allows enterprises to adapt to the challenges of the external environment, particularly in conditions of martial law and economic instability. The priorities for the implementation of compliance functions in companies across various sectors of the economy have been analyzed. It is found that the most important areas of compliance application are anti-corruption activities, adherence to business ethics norms, and sanctions control. The authors of the article emphasize the significance of compliance management as a tool for strategic management that contributes to enhancing business resilience, minimizing risks, and building trust on the part of stakeholders.
