Abstract: The article is aimed at identifying the main problems in the management of staff of consulting companies and defining possible directions to solving them. The stages of recruitment process of employees of a consulting company are described. The factors that influence its effectiveness are defined, among which methods and ways of staff selection are the most important. It is proposed to supplement the selection process with techniques that allow to determine psychological qualities, values and career plans of candidates, taking into account the characteristics of the Generation Z. This will increase the life cycle of employees and avoid the additional costs associated with replacing the resigned staff.
