Abstract: The article explores the content of the concepts of “digitalization”, “digitization” and “digital transformation”, as well as their meaning in the context of innovative development and managerial innovation. The author examines the interconnection, differences, and correlation between these categories. The author proposes to consider digitalization as a sub-process of digitization, while digitization is considered to be the technological driver of digital transformation. The study substantiates the interdependence of digitization and innovative development, emphasizing the role of digitization in enhancing innovation activity. The study also analyzes how the effectiveness of digital transformation depends on the relevant organizational and managerial innovations. The article provides examples of the impact of digital technologies on various spheres of society, such as production, commerce, and interaction between society and the State. It is emphasized that digital transformation encompasses not only technical aspects, but also social changes that affect human behavior and interpersonal relations. The article also underlines that the current stage requires new approaches to understanding innovation activity in the economy, which is becoming a necessity for enterprises in a rapidly changing external environment. The research covers the analysis of terms and their application in scientific and practical literature, identifies the main components of digitalization, digitization and digital transformation, and considers their impact on the innovation process. The results of the study can serve as a basis for further development of the theory and practice of digitization in Ukraine, as well as for the formation of effective management strategies that will promote the innovative development of enterprises in the context of the digital economy.
