Abstract: The mechanism and institutions of trade and economic cooperation currently play a significant role in shaping relations between countries. For Ukraine, which is facing an active armed conflict, cooperation with reliable partners is a key to the successful development of the national economy. Poland has become Ukraine’s largest trading partner in recent years, highlighting the relevance of developing such relations. The subject of the study is the mechanism of institutional development of trade interaction between Ukraine and Poland in the context of European integration processes. The aim of the work is to substantiate the role of institutional cooperation as a key factor in the development of economic relations between Ukraine and Poland in the context of Ukraine’s integration into the European Union and to develop a mechanism for improving economic interaction. The objective of the study is to analyze the current state of the legal and regulatory framework established between Ukraine and Poland to further develop proposals for its improvement and harmonization with general European standards, as well as to identify potential opportunities for the development of Ukraine’s economy in the European market. The research methods are based on a systematic and analytical approach, methods of logical generalization, and structural-functional analysis of the legal and regulatory framework between Ukraine and Poland. Problematic aspects of interstate interaction in various sectors, which have a direct impact on bilateral trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Poland, have been identified. A separate outcome is the creation of a comprehensive mechanism covering multiple areas of cooperation to enhance bilateral trade between Ukraine and Poland. This mechanism provides an opportunity not only to address the shortcomings of the bilateral contractual framework but also to create tools for practically strengthening cooperation in the context of European integration. Its implementation can accelerate the movement of goods across the border, enhance Ukrainian producers’ access to the EU market, stimulate investment projects, and contribute to the integration of the economic infrastructure of the two countries. Institutional interaction mechanisms will help reinforce the foundation for establishing a stable and competitive system of economic cooperation between Ukraine and Poland. Further development of the partnership is linked to the digitalization of procedures, harmonization of legislation with EU standards, and the introduction of innovative platforms that set the strategic direction for strengthening the positions of the Ukrainian economy in the European market.
Keywords: trade and economic cooperation, Ukraine, Poland, bilateral agreements, European integration, contractual and legal framework, institutional mechanisms, cross-border interaction.
