Abstract:
The article examines the impact of current global challenges (full-scale war in Ukraine, climate anomalies, rising energy and fertilizer prices, and disruptions in logistics networks) on food security, taking into account data from the FAO, WFP, UNDP, and industry think tanks for 2022–2025. The aim of the study is to provide a theoretical and methodological substantiation for innovative strategies to strengthen food security in the face of global threats, highlighting their impact on the physical and economic accessibility of food, the resilience of agri-food systems, and reducing their sensitivity to external challenges. The methodology is based on systemic, structural-logical, and comparative analysis and involves the construction of a conceptual model of “challenges – innovative strategies – results” a quantitative assessment of the parameters of global challenges (warfare and port blockades, climate change, energy and logistics shocks), identification and classification of key innovative tools (diversification of production, digitization of agriculture using AI, formation of strategic reserves, support for local producers, environmental practices), as well as analysis of the results of their implementation through indicators of food availability and sustainability of agrosystems. The study analyzes the consequences of the military blockade of Ukrainian ports, extreme climate events, and rising resource costs for global grain markets, and summarizes data on crop diversification, the spread of precision farming technologies, strategic reserve policies, and local producer support programs in various countries around the world. It is substantiated that the comprehensive application of these innovative strategies reduces the riskiness of food systems by 20–30%, reduces food inflation, increases crop yields, and enhances the adaptive capacity of the agricultural sector, allowing them to be considered a key tool for strengthening food security, especially for Ukraine as one of the leading agrarian exporters.

Keywords: security, food security, agricultural products, innovative strategies, strategic food reserves, competitiveness, economic accessibility.
