Abstract:
The article examines the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in shaping the social cohesion of territorial communities. The article discusses key areas of CSR such as social investments, support for vulnerable groups, environmental safety, partnerships between companies and communities, as well as with government institutions and non-governmental organizations, among other factors of social development. It is determined that the active involvement of business in implementing social initiatives contributes to increasing trust within communities, strengthening social capital, and consolidating communities. A matrix of the relationship between CSR and the institutional environment of communities is proposed, depending on the level of business involvement in the life of communities, illustrating the extent of corporate initiatives and their impact on society. It is found that long-term partnership programs and strategic CSR projects contribute not only to increasing social cohesion but also stimulate local economic development. Particular attention is devoted to the issues of inclusion and the formation of a culture of trust, which are important components of social cohesion. It is determined that corporate programs aimed at ensuring equal opportunities and social integration of vulnerable population strata have a significant impact on the formation of stable and self-sufficient communities. Further research in this area should be directed at assessing the effectiveness of CSR in building local institutions, strengthening civil society, and integrating business into regional development strategies.

Keywords: corporate social responsibility, welfare, territorial communities, social cohesion, sustainable development, civil society.
