Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the systematization of approaches to defining the creative economy. In particular, the Inter-American Development Bank emphasizes both the economic component and intellectual property, while UNESCO considers it in the context of cultural influence. The World Intellectual Property Organization focuses on issues of copyright and creative industries. Such differences in approaches affect the formation of policies for the development of creative sectors in various countries. It is highlighted that, in their substantive essence, the goods and services produced by creative industries demonstrate a high level of uniformity, representing the results of human creative activity through the process of objectification and reification of the properties of nature, economy, and social life. The definitions of creative industries, which include cultural, artistic, design, digital, and technological sectors, are analyzed in detail. Statistical data on the share of the creative economy in the GDP of various countries are provided, demonstrating its growing influence. The mechanisms of State regulation and support for the creative economy in various countries have been considered, including tax incentives, grant programs, investment initiatives, and educational projects. Special attention has been paid to digitalization as a key factor in the development of creative industries. The impact of new technologies on the dynamics of the creative sector has been studied. The importance of online platforms and social networks in promoting creative content and engaging audiences has been emphasized. It is found that further research on the creative economy should focus on harmonizing international approaches to its definition, as well as developing a unified methodological framework for assessing its impact on economic development. The necessity of strengthening cooperation between public and private institutions to stimulate innovative processes within the creative sector has been noted. The possibilities of integrating modern technologies into the creative economy to ensure its further sustainable development have been closer defined.

Keywords: creative economy, creative industries, digitalization, intellectual property, innovative development.
