Abstract:
The current trends and prospects of the hotel and restaurant business in Ukraine are considered, which are based on the analysis of the efficiency of the operation of the hotel business in Ukraine, the analysis of capital investments by type of economic activity (temporary accommodation), the analysis of the volumes of services provided, the analysis of the indicators of the average daily rate and income per available room, dynamics of the general level of occupancy of hotels, dynamics of the results of hotel activities, their current state, key trends and challenges. The subject of research in the article is the issue of determining trends and prospects of the hotel and restaurant business in Ukraine. The aim is to conduct a retrospective and current analysis of the state of the hotel business in Ukraine, to determine the specifics of its development in the pre-war and wartime conditions. The objectives: to process and analyze current statistical reporting on the current state of tourism and hotel business; to study the key trends and functioning of the hotel business in modern conditions; to analyze the hotel and restaurant market of Ukraine based on the evaluation of the key indicators of the hotel's activity using Hotel Matrix statistical data. The general scientific method of system analysis, retrospective analysis, comparison is used to determine the trends and prospects of the hotel and restaurant business in Ukraine. The following results were obtained: up-to-date statistical reporting related to the current state of tourism and hotel business was found, processed and analyzed; the key trends and functioning of the hotel business in modern conditions were studied; the hotel and restaurant market of Ukraine was analyzed based on the assessment of the hotel's key performance indicators; the key trends in the development of the hotel business in Ukraine are determined. The conclusions. The state of the hotel and restaurant business was analyzed; its key trends are defined; the hotel and restaurant market of Ukraine is analyzed, which indicate indicate the presence of own investment potential in certain regions of the country, other regions need significant external investments to restore hotel and restaurant complexes, rebuild the necessary infrastructure, etc. Therefore, when developing plans for the further development of the hotel and restaurant business, it is necessary to take into account these differences regarding the various investment opportunities of the regions.
