Abstract: The article examines the role of key digital technologies in the transformation of modern industrial production and global supply chains within the framework of the developing conception of Industry 4.0. Despite the growing body of research on industrial digitalization, the integrated impact of Industry 4.0 technologies on the operation of smart factories and the transformation of global supply chains remains insufficiently explored, highlighting the relevance of this study. The aim of the study is to systematize the key technological drivers of smart factories, identify the specific features of their operation under Industry 4.0, and substantiate their impact on the transformation of global supply chains. The methodological framework is based on the methods of analysis and synthesis, system analysis, comparative analysis, generalization, and graphical interpretation of the findings. The findings systematize the core technologies underlying the operation of smart factories, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and cloud computing, and determine their functional role in manufacturing processes and supply chain management. The study substantiates that the integration of these technologies enhances production automation, increases information transparency, optimizes logistics processes, improves risk forecasting and managerial decision-making, and contributes to the development of resilient digital manufacturing ecosystems. It is found that smart factories are gradually evolving from isolated automated production facilities into key nodes of global digital supply networks capable of rapidly responding to external changes while ensuring a high level of flexibility and adaptability. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the comprehensive systematization of the technological drivers of smart factories and the identification of their strategic role in the transformation of global supply chains. The practical significance of the findings consists in their applicability to the development of enterprise digital transformation strategies, the modernization of manufacturing processes, and the improvement of international supply chain management.
