Abstract:
The relevance of the problem is determined by the rapid development of the digital economy, the spread of blockchain technologies, and dynamic changes in the cryptocurrency market, which are transforming the operating conditions of enterprises and increasing requirements for their information capabilities. The aim of the article is to develop a theoretical and methodological approach to the foresight assessment of enterprise information potential under the development of the cryptocurrency market, taking into account technological, economic, institutional, and market factors to identify prospective scenarios and substantiate strategic directions for improving innovation performance and ensuring enterprise sustainability. The study employs system and foresight approaches, methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization, and systematization, the index method and geometric mean method, as well as the scenario method. An integral economic assessment of enterprise information potential based on the geometric mean of the indices of its components is proposed, providing a comprehensive characterization of the level of information potential while taking into account the balance of its components. A sequence of foresight assessment of information potential is developed, including assessment of its current level, identification of key change factors, foresight analysis, development of alternative scenarios, and substantiation of strategic development directions. Three alternative scenarios for the development of information potential – optimistic, baseline, and pessimistic – are substantiated, and their potential impact on the technological, personnel-competence, analytical, and digital-innovation capabilities of enterprises is determined. It is proved that combining the economic assessment of information potential with foresight and scenario-based tools makes it possible to move from a static characterization of existing information capabilities towards their strategic development, taking into account future environmental changes. Strategic directions for the development of information potential are proposed. The scientific novelty lies in combining the integral economic assessment of information potential with foresight analysis and scenario modeling of its development prospects in the context of transformations in the digital economy and cryptocurrency market. The practical significance of the results lies in the possibility of using the proposed approach to substantiate strategic decisions concerning the development of information capabilities, digital transformation, and enterprise innovation activities.
