Abstract:
The article is aimed at considering the components of sustainable development of online entrepreneurship in the context of analyzing the existing problems, risks and opportunities that arise on this path. The article discusses general trends in the features of online entrepreneurship. The dynamics of changes in the volume of the e-commerce market in Ukraine for the period 2017–2027 are determined and analyzed taking into account the projected data. The problems, risks and opportunities of online entrepreneurship that hinder the sustainable development of economic activity are analyzed. There are also three groups of characteristics, such as social, economic and environmental, which have been formed in accordance with modern trends in digitalization and the implementation of Industry 4.0 principles. A certain list of features characteristic of online entrepreneurial activity of business entities in Ukraine has been allocated. The conclusions and prospects for further research in this direction are that the sustainable development of online entrepreneurship represents a complex but promising path that requires the integration of economic, environmental and social goals. First of all, there is a need to solve such problems as: digital footprint, cybersecurity and inequality of access to technology. It is also worth noting that the level of existing problems and risks of online entrepreneurship varies greatly by country. For Ukraine, there is also a list of additional factors directly related to hostilities and russia’s military aggression. The consequences of cyberattacks also pose a significant threat not only to State systems operating in the online environment, but also to all entrepreneurs, including Ukrainian ones, since Ukraine is not only facing an ongoing military aggression, but also suffers under cyber war, which brings forth a large list of risks and negative prospects for entrepreneurs. Success depends on the ability of entrepreneurs to adapt to challenges, the ability to use the latest technologies and create business models that are focused on the long term and provide for sustainable functioning. However, stability as a prerequisite for sustainable development today is a very fragile economic phenomenon that is not influenced by a numerous hard-to-predict and unpredictable list of factors, which can be considered in further research.
