Abstract: The aim of the study is to reveal the features of project management of energy industry enterprises and identify the risks that affect it. The article examines in detail the place of the energy industry among other sectors of the country's economy, and also analyzes the impact of enterprises in this industry on the country. It was emphasized that an important task for the State remains the development of a green energy course, which can be implemented through energy industry enterprises. In accordance with the energy strategy of Ukraine, directions for the development of renewable energy sources, decarbonization and the possibility of increasing energy efficiency in accordance with the European Green Deal have been identified. In this regard, it was emphasized that energy industry enterprises should participate in various projects that are financed not only at their own expense, but also at the expense of international organizations and State support. In addition, energy industry enterprises need to change their approaches to project management, especially when it comes to financing. It was determined that it is worth using the following methods of financing innovative projects, namely project financing, public-private partnership, financing through equity capital, financing through the issuance of green bonds, debt financing, using the Power Purchase Agreement model, crowdfunding, and equipment leasing. In addition, the study identified areas for avoiding and reducing internal and external risks during the implementation of projects in energy industry enterprises, in particular, they consist in finding promising projects, qualified personnel, scarce equipment that is necessary for the implementation of projects, in case of need to repair damaged facilities to ensure uninterrupted operation; conducting constant monitoring of legislative changes; conducting a complete analysis of the political situation in the country, while it is necessary to weigh all the positive and negative sides when concluding agreements to protect one's own interests; conducting timely monitoring of geopolitical and political events; involving environmental organizations in mutual cooperation and implementing an ecological restoration plan not only for the enterprise, but also for the territory in which it operates; carrying out financial planning, increasing the reserve fund and conducting negotiations with various financial institutions.
