Abstract:
The research aim is to conduct a comparative analysis of global high-tech business development models, identify the latest macroeconomic trends associated with high-tech exports, and substantiate a national strategy for the innovative and technological transformation of Ukraine's economy within the context of the «Industry 4.0» conception. The article explores the theoretical, methodological, and practical aspects of how technological changes modify modern business architecture and macroeconomic processes. The article systematizes the evolution of scientific approaches defining the deterministic role of innovation, specifically focusing on the conceptions of technological waves, the triple helix model, and the disruptive transformations of Industry 4.0. The study proposes expanding the OECD classification criteria for identifying high-tech enterprises by integrating an export intensity indicator. Based on statistical data from Eurostat and the World Economic Forum, a comparative analysis was conducted regarding the development dynamics of the high-tech sector in EU countries and the structure of global high-tech exports. The article identifies key differences in the operating models of traditional and innovative companies, the phenomenon of which is built upon unique know-how and minimal marginal costs. The article examines the specifics of leading national clustering models. Particular attention is paid to analyzing the current state and unique profile of Ukraine’s innovation ecosystem under the wartime and economic challenges of 2024-2026. The study identifies key trends in the domestic high-tech market, notably the rapid expansion of Military-Tech, Artificial Intelligence (AI), FinTech, and green biotechnology sectors. Finally, the article proves the futility of blindly copying foreign strategies and substantiates the necessity of forming a sovereign industrial and technological policy. This policy must leverage Ukraine's own unique pool of skilled talent, export potential, and the objectives of postwar economic modernization.

Keywords: high-tech business; Industry 4.0; business architecture; innovation clusters; high-tech exports; Ukraine's innovation ecosystem; Military-Tech; digital transformation.
