Abstract: This article provides a thorough analysis of the dynamics of key indicators of the labor market under martial law, which makes it possible to assess how changes in economic and social conditions affect employment of the population. Particular emphasis is placed on regional differentiation, which reveals the impact of geographical location on the labor market. In regions remote from hostilities, there is relative stability and even an increase in the number of vacancies, while in the affected regions, employment opportunities are extremely limited. The article also considers the problems of discrimination in the labor market, in particular in relation to women and youth. These groups face difficulties in finding employment, which is the result of both economic and sociocultural barriers. In particular, it is noted that women are more likely to become victims of discrimination due to gender stereotypes, and young people often face a lack of experience, which reduces their chances of getting a job. The integration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) into the labor market is especially important. Reforming social policy aimed at their professional retraining and employment is considered as a critical element of stabilizing the situation in the labor market. At the same time, attention is focused on the imbalance between the supply and demand of labor force in various sectors of the economy. This study not only reflects the current state of the labor market, but also offers recommendations for improving employment policies, in particular in the context of supporting vulnerable groups of the population. In continuation of the study, it is worth paying attention to the fact that the demand for labor is unevenly distributed not only by regions, but also by industries. In particular, areas related to defense, transport, retail and pharmaceuticals show the greatest demand for workers due to the need to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of critical infrastructure. Mobilization measures that cause labor shortages in some sectors need to be reviewed and optimized to ensure the effective distribution of labor resources. It is also important to pay attention to the long-term consequences for the labor market after the end of the war, when the issue of reintegration of veterans and military workers will become especially relevant.
Keywords: labor market, unemployment, employment, vacancies, martial law.
