Abstract:
The development of information and analytical activities in international relations is an important component of modern global politics and diplomacy. International analytical centers, think factories, and brains trusts provide governments and international organizations with key ideas based on critical analysis to make informed decisions on complex international policy issues. The research methodology is formed on the basis of special instruments for conducting information and analytical activities in the field of international relations. Such methods include: content analysis; event analysis; forecasting probable scenarios for the development of political events; modeling the dynamics of interstate relations; quantitative analysis; fact-checking; analysis of political statements; media analysis; analysis of international treaties and agreements. The main results of the study are the following: the importance of data and international information for the development of interstate political events is identified; the key aspects of the development of information and analytical activities in the field of international relations are defined; the components of information and analytical activities in the field of international relations are allocated; the influence of the activities of analytical centers, «think tanks», «think factories», «brains trusts» on the state of international relations is determined; the main aspects of information wars are formulated; the main components of political technologies are defined; the factors influencing the establishing of information culture in the field of international relations are determined; the factors influencing the information security of international relations are identified; the instruments for conducting information and analytical activities in the field of international relations are systematized. The main aspects of event analysis in the field of international relations are the following: identification of political events; classification of political events; quantitative analysis; forecasting probable scenarios for the development of events; modeling. The use of content analysis for analytical research in the field of international relations can more often be traced in the analysis of political statements; media analysis; analysis of international treaties and agreements; public diplomacy research.
