Abstract:
The current conditions of functioning of Ukrainian organizations are characterized by a high level of uncertainty, military challenges, and the need to ensure the resilience of managerial processes. In the global scientific discourse, strategic management and the integration of digital technologies into managerial practices remain priorities, as they enable organizations to ensure transparency, flexibility, and operational efficiency. For this reason, the practical use of digital tools for monitoring strategic development is becoming particularly relevant, and employing MS Project serves as an important means of integrating classical principles of strategic management with modern project technologies. The aim of this article is to explore the applied aspects of monitoring an organization’s strategic development using MS Project and to demonstrate the feasibility of its use as a universal management tool. The main objectives of the study were: analyzing scientific approaches to the strategic development of organizations; formulating a business idea for a project to implement a monitoring system; developing a WBS; planning resources and budget; creating a Gantt chart; and assessing MS Project’s capabilities for risk identification and resource optimization. The article employs a system approach, analysis, and synthesis to determine the theoretical foundations of strategic management and monitoring; project management methods (WBS) for structuring and planning activities; MS Project tools for integrating time, resource, and financial parameters; and methods of comparison and generalization to assess the effectiveness of implementing the monitoring system. Using the example of LLC «Dream Management», an applied model for monitoring an organization’s strategic development is proposed. A WBS structure has been developed that details the project content across key areas such as analytical preparation, conception development, organizational and technical support, and piloting. A schedule and resource budget have been created, enabling the construction of a network model and a Gantt chart in MS Project. The piloting demonstrated the ability to identify resource conflicts, resolve them, and optimize staff workload. The results confirm the effectiveness of integrating the organization’s strategic, tactical, and operational objectives into a single digital management system. Using MS Project within the organization’s strategic development monitoring system enhances the transparency and efficiency of managerial processes, helps minimize schedule risks, optimizes resource use, and increases the organization’s adaptability to external challenges. The scientific value of the research lies in developing the theoretical and methodological foundations of strategic monitoring, taking into account digital transformation. The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of using the methodology presented by organizations to create their own monitoring systems, which enhances their competitiveness and promotes sustainable development.
