Abstract:
The article focuses on studying the methodological support for investing in social projects within the field of medicine using crowdfunding platforms. The aim of the article is to theoretically generalize and substantiate a theoretical-methodological approach to investing in social medical projects via crowdfunding, as well as to develop a methodological approach for the comprehensive assessment of their socioeconomic efficiency. The work systematizes contemporary theories and conceptions forming the scientific foundation of research in alternative investment, behavioral finance, social entrepreneurship, and platform economy. The authors explore the specifics of crowdfunding for social and medical projects, the operational features of crowdfunding platforms, participant motivation, success factors for campaigns, and risks associated with information asymmetry and the ethical aspects of financing medical initiatives. Based on analytical generalizations, the trends in the development of medical crowdfunding and its potential as a tool for attracting financial resources to implement socially significant projects have been identified. The article develops a structural-functional model of social project design based on crowdfunding, reflecting the interrelations of key stakeholders, financial flows, and project outcomes, and also describes the stages of implementing a social business project in the medical field – from generating the idea and preparing a crowdfunding campaign to evaluating its effectiveness. In the conclusions, the appropriateness of using crowdfunding platforms as an efficient tool for investing in social projects in the medical sector is substantiated. It is proved that combining digital financial technologies with socially oriented funding mechanisms creates the conditions for enhancing transparency, accessibility, and effectiveness in the implementation of medical initiatives. The proposed methodological framework is based on a phased assessment of social outcomes, their monetization, and the calculation of the social return on investment (SROI), enabling a well-founded evaluation of the efficiency of the invested resources. The practical significance of these results lies in their potential use by government authorities, medical institutions, and non-profit organizations in the development and implementation of socially oriented investment projects in the healthcare sector.

Keywords: investments, crowdfunding, crowdinvesting, social projects, crowdfunding platforms, socioeconomic efficiency, social return on investment (SROI), social design.
