Abstract:
The aim of this article is to study and develop the theoretical provisions regarding the management of economic security of a construction enterprise in the context of geopolitical transformations. The article examines the theoretical principles of managing economic security of a construction enterprise in the conditions of dynamic geopolitical transformations. The relevance of forming an effective system for economic security management as a key factor for the stable functioning and development of enterprises in the construction industry is substantiated. The essence of economic security, its main components, and the threats arising from external political instability are defined. Special attention is given to analyzing risk factors specific to the construction sector and assessing their impact on the economic resilience of enterprises. The main geopolitical factors affecting construction companies in Ukraine include: military actions and armed conflicts: destruction of infrastructure, halt in construction, losses of personnel and equipment; adverse occupation and loss of control over certain territories: loss of assets, restrictions on logistics, inability to implement projects; political instability in the country: unpredictability of legislation, changes in taxation, loss of investments; disruption of foreign economic relations: reduced access to imported resources, increased cost of imports; migration of the workforce due to the war: shortage of skilled labor in the construction sector; decline in the investment attractiveness of the country: outflow of foreign capital, suspension of major projects. Conceptual approaches to the construction of a system for managing economic security have been proposed, taking into account the current challenges and opportunities arising during periods of geopolitical turbulence. The findings of the research can be used for the development of crisis management strategies, the improvement of corporate security policies, and the enhancement of the adaptive potential of construction companies.
