The Mechanism of Preferential Crediting of Enterprises of Agrarian Sector of Ukraine (p. 170 - 176)
The article is aimed at studying the current mechanism for providing cheaper credits for agricultural enterprises and developing proposals for its improvement. The volumes of lending to the enterprises of agro-industrial complex are in no small measure determined by the amount of budget funds allocated for the cheaper credits. According to the results of research it was established that the current mechanism of preferential crediting does not fully solve the problems of crediting of agrarian enterprises. The subsidy system satisfies only a small proportion of the demand for credit resources in the agricultural business sector. The author has formulated approaches to support commercial lending to small and medium-sized agricultural producers, which is provided by commercial banks and credit unions, at the expense of local budgets. Prospects for further research are to adapt the mechanism of credit subsidization of agro-industrial enterprises in accordance with the requirements of the World Trade Organization.
