Cost Management as a Mechanism for Ensuring the Competitiveness of Agricultural Enterprises (p. 150 - 156)
The article is aimed to determine the role and features of the cost management of agricultural enterprises in the process of ensuring their competitiveness. The key role of the mechanisms for cost management in the formation and retention of price competitive advantages of agricultural producers has been substantiated. As the goal of cost management in the context of competitiveness of agricultural enterprises has been determined reducing the amount of the total cost by increasing productivity, reducing the cost and volume of use of resources under the condition of producing the required (standardized) quality products and achieving an acceptable level of efficiency in economic activities. A technique for optimization of structure of both common and additional wages for agricultural workers has been suggested, which will ensure the maximization of productivity as well as economy of resources. With a view to enhancing the competitiveness of agricultural producers, a methodology for the multi-criteria optimizing their sectoral structure has been developed, aimed at the achievement of minimum cost and maximum profitability.
