The Economic Efficiency of Production of Winter Wheat in the Context of Production Costs (p. 203 - 208)
The article is aimed at researching all constituents of production self-cost on the example of growing winter wheat and outlining possible ways to reduce costs to increase the economic efficiency of production. The production self-cost and its influence on the efficiency of production of winter wheat are explored. In terms of this publication, costs have been calculated for the whole cycle of production of winter wheat, namely: basic soil treatment; preparation of sowing material; sowing; recharging; protecting crops; harvesting. It has been determined that the most specific weight in the costs structure falls on such articles as the costs of crop protection with pesticides, basic soil treatment, recharging with mineral fertilizers, and seed material. The lowest costs are directly related to seed entry and harvesting. It is identified that that the production of winter wheat is characterized by high efficiency on large areas, as it allows to sell the yield to grain traders at a higher price than it would be with smaller volumes. The latter consideration allows to achieve a multi-fold higher profitability. Prospect for further research in this direction is searching for ways to reduce production costs in order to increase economic efficiency.
