Place of the State Support in the System of Formation of Competitiveness of Livestock Production (p. 172 - 177)
The article is aimed to define the role and importance of the State support of the livestock industry sector in the system of formation and securing the competitive production. The current status of the State support of the manufacturers of livestock products in the Kharkiv region has been analyzed. Efficiency of the State support has been determined, its differences by the enterprises of Kharkiv region have been identified. As has been displayed, the existing in Ukraine form of the State support of livestock does not comprehensively stimulate the production of this industry sector. Ranking of the districts of Kharkiv region in terms of the actual size of the obtained subsidies – towards their total costs – has showed that efficiency of use of subsidies at enterprises of those districts, which obtain larger amount of support, remains low. The larger subsidies per 1 centner of sold products would receive the enterprises with higher levels of competitiveness. At the same time, the State support is an essential factor of improving the competitiveness, though the unprofitableness related to cattle livestock and market hogs still cannot be overcome.
